My wife and I went out to a see a movie this last weekend, or more aptly, we stayed in to watch a movie. We just don’t go out to the theater anymore. You can hardly get a ticket for less than ten bucks at the theater anymore, even the matinee shows are getting expensive. And the show times are so restrictive, too. This is where my wife and I found ourselves over the weekend, but we discovered the answer. What do we need to do to watch moves at home, download new movies to our TV set and home entertainment system, any time we wish? No restrictive schedules to match, no rush to return the movie just to avoid late charges. Simply watch the movies we want to see when we want to see them. Life is good.

This must be why movie rental stores exist. I can pick up a movie for half the price of a theater ticket; and the whole family can watch it together at home, on our own schedule. Great, but I still have to find time to trek over to the rental place and wade through the current selections. How many times have I been disappointed to find out that the new release I want to see is currently out of stock? I take it back; rental stores are a hassle too.
